Dr Eva Baxter

Researcher biography
Dr Baxter is a Senior Research Platform Fellow at the Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer (QCGC) Research and leads its molecular research program. Her research focuses on biomarker discovery and validation to improve clinical outcomes for women with gynaecological cancers. Dr Baxter leads translational studies embedded within QCGC Research's clinical trials, including the feMMe phase II trial (NCT01686126), which demonstrated that approximately 60% of women with early-stage endometrial cancer can safely avoid hysterectomy through intrauterine progestin therapy. She also leads translational studies for the ongoing ENDO-3 phase III trial (NCT04073706), evaluating the risks and benefits of sentinel node biopsy in early-stage endometrial cancer. Her research bridges molecular science and clinical trials, advancing precision medicine in gynaecological oncology.
