2026 Jian Zhou Memorial Oration

The University of Queensland Frazer Institute invite you to attend the 2026 Jian Zhou Memorial Oration. Delivered annually, the Oration honours the memory and legacy of the late Dr Jian Zhou, whose groundbreaking work, alongside Emeritus Professor Ian Frazer AC, led to the development of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.

Keynote

This year's keynote speaker is Associate Professor Arutha Kulasinghe presenting The Cancer Blueprint project. The Cancer Blueprint project is reimagining oncology by mapping the complex spatial ecosystem of tumours. This pioneering research is transforming our understanding of cancer, redefining the standards for targeted care, and advancing highly personalised treatment strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of each patient's disease.

Parking information

The Oral Health Centre underground carpark will be open for event guests on a first come, first serve basis (subject to availability) from 4.30pm until 9pm for event guests at no charge. Entry is via Herston Road.

Overflow street parking is available on Herston Road, Wyndham and Weightman Streets. Please check the signs for time limits and costs. 

Both Taxi and Uber drivers can drop-off directly in front of the Mayne Medical Building (entry from Herston Road).
