Herston

Private carpark usage

Parking around Herston is extremely limited. The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital has three privately-run carparks. However, they can be expensive.

We suggest parking at the Cornerstone Carpark - 'Herston Road Carpark (RBWH)', with access from Herston Road or Gilchrist Avenue.

Street parking

Alternatively, find street parking with the CellOPark app system (pay by the hour). Parks are available on Herston road.

Nearby suburban streets offer some short-term parking options. However, they are regularly patrolled by parking inspectors.

Because car spaces are limited, we strongly encourage using public transport where possible.

  • View the UQ Herston parking map (PDF, 298KB) Each parking zone is colour-coded and shows the number of hours you can park in the zone.

Check UQ Maps for Herston campus parking locations or download UQ Maps. Read more about Parking at UQ.
